During Navratri, each night is dedicated to a form of Devi. In order: Shailaputri, Brahmacharini, Chandraghanta, Kushmanda, Skandamata, Katyayani, Kalaratri, Mahagauri and Siddhidatri.
Together they are known as the Navadurga, and many households follow this sequence for their daily puja during the festival.
